What We Do
Our Approach
We are committed to the discovery and development of new drugs from natural sources. Our focus is on the creation of highly effective antiviral drugs, which may be used to combat common viruses, including the Herpesviridae family of viruses.
Current Drug Development and Testing
Our current objective is to advance better treatment options for HSV-1 and HSV-2 infected individuals, and stop the transmission of both diseases. We believe that the therapeutic approach of using live attenuated or inactivated vaccines is flawed and simply will not deliver the desired results. We also believe that the current standard for treatment with existing antiviral drugs, is less than ideal. At Hekima, we take a different approach and are confident that a natural treatment in within our reach.
